“Location is off”

Without your location, Kuier shows a walk from the Dom in Utrecht instead, which plays itself as a demo. For one from your door, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Kuier and choose “While Using the App”. Precise Location gives better walks.

“No Kuier map here yet”

Maps cover the Netherlands for now, so elsewhere you get a walk from the Dom in Utrecht that plays itself as a demo. Belgium and Germany are planned.

“Couldn’t fetch the map here”

The first walk in a new area downloads its map, which takes a moment. Check that you’re online and try again. After that, the map is kept on your phone and works offline.

Walks are too long or too short

Every walk is planned for your pace. If 20 minutes keeps taking 25, tap the gear in Kuier and pick a slower one under Your pace: Unhurried, Steady or Brisk. Back early every time? Pick a brisker one.

Turn-by-turn on the Lock Screen

Guidance shows as a Live Activity. If it doesn’t appear, check Settings › Kuier › Live Activities.

A street that shouldn’t be there

Kuier’s maps come from OpenStreetMap. A path that’s closed or private can be fixed there by anyone, and Kuier picks up the change within a month. Or write and say where.
